In November 1957, at Amarillo Air Force Base in Texas, several sightings of unidentified objects were recorded. On the 9th, witnesses reported two or three red lights moving over a vehicle before ascending westward. The description included a bright light at the bottom, resembling a spotlight, and remained visible for 2-3 minutes. Although balloon or astronomical explanations were considered, the report concluded it was likely an aircraft.
A second sighting occurred on the 23rd, when an observer reported a white, glowing object the size of a half-dollar. This object approached the observer before veering upward and to the right. Despite the official report classifying it as an aircraft, the witness heard no sound and the object moved quickly, casting doubt on the identification. Meteorological and wind data were accurately recorded but failed to clarify the mystery.
