🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, two sightings of unidentified flying objects were recorded in Lexington, Kentucky. On the 9th, a round object with a white flame tail was seen falling straight down for 3-4 seconds. Observers considered it a meteor. A day later, on the 11th, a pinhead-sized orange object was seen heading northeast for three minutes. Investigators concluded it was likely an aircraft. Despite the different interpretations, both cases were officially documented under Project 10073, a Cold War-era initiative to record unusual aerial phenomena.
