A witness in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, reported a luminous object in November 1957. The object, described as round and five times brighter than a star, changed color between orange, red, and white. It moved up, down, and sideways before gradually fading. The observation lasted 15 minutes and was recorded by military sources. Although Venus was considered, no definitive conclusion was reached.
