🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a civilian in Los Angeles observed a round, bright object in the sky for 85 minutes. This object, described as 20 times larger than aircraft lights, had a corona around its light. The light moved in 15-minute intervals, sank, dimmed, and receded. Despite the long and clear observation, no photos were taken and radar was not used.
Investigators concluded the object was likely the planet Venus. This identification was based on the description and its position in the sky. Although it might initially seem like a UFO, the analysis suggested a simple astronomical explanation. The report, part of Project 10073, shows how even detailed observations can have straightforward answers.
