In November 1957, a witness in Oregon City observed three bright objects splitting in the sky. Initially, one object split into two, and then one of these split again, forming a total of three. The objects were intensely bright and moving rapidly eastward. One observer noted that one of the objects had between three and four visible portholes. Despite the report stating the objects moved with the wind, like a balloon, contradictions in the account led to the report being deemed unreliable.

The observation lasted over an hour, suggesting prolonged attention to the phenomenon. However, the impossibility of verifying details such as porthole visibility at that distance and inconsistencies in the description generated doubts about the credibility of the testimony.
