🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a witness in Tallassee, Alabama, observed a tear-shaped object moving up and down for forty minutes without touching the ground. The sighting occurred at night, and although no photos were taken, the object was described as fluorescent and had an unusual flight path. Investigators considered the possibility of a star, but the duration and movement of the object raised doubts. The lack of additional data, such as size or speed, made it difficult to draw precise conclusions.
The official report did not include photographs or radar data, which limited possible evaluations. Although balloon and aircraft explanations were ruled out, the most plausible conclusion was that it was an astronomical phenomenon. However, the detailed description from the witness and the prolonged duration of the sighting keep some mystery around this case.
