🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, an object reported as a UFO was found in Wayne, Michigan. The device, which had fallen the previous night, was made from a mix of materials such as paper, fabric, adhesive tape, and a metal layer. Although it appeared unusual, investigators concluded it was a radar reflector, likely used on weather balloons. The object was destroyed by a janitor who considered it trash, but photos and a detailed description were sent for analysis.
The investigation aimed to rule out conventional explanations, but in this case, the object was identified as a human-made device. The documentation includes instructions for identifying similar reflectors in other cases, as they were commonly used in meteorological and military operations. This case was considered an opportunity to debunk UFO rumors and reassure the public.
