Summary

In November 1957, at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, multiple observers—both civilian and military—sighted a silver, cigar-shaped object. The object appeared suddenly above an F-100 aircraft being guided by radar, remained stationary for a few minutes, and then vanished without any apparent maneuver. Witnesses used 7x50 binoculars to observe it for eight minutes, but could not identify its nature. Some described it as round or dime-sized, while others saw it as a cigar or even an H-19 helicopter. The descriptions varied, adding to the mystery.

Weather conditions were clear with strong winds at high altitudes, and no atmospheric phenomena were recorded that could explain the sighting. Despite the presence of several aircraft in the area, including B-57s, F-100s, and T-33s, there was no interception or identification. The responsible officer concluded the sighting as unidentified, and the case was classified as "unknown." This brief observation generated enough interest to be officially reported and archived under Project 10073.
