🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Utah reported in 1957 an object shaped like a vertical football, the size of a nickel, with green flashing lights at both ends and a red one in the center. The object was seen for two and a half hours through 7x50 binoculars, slowly moving southeast while rising. Although initially considered a possible balloon or astronomical phenomenon like the constellation Orion, no definitive identification was made. The weather was clear and calm, making conventional explanations even less likely.
The report includes details on the object's trajectory, its gradual disappearance, and the absence of sound or physical impact. Despite the long observation, no physical evidence or air traffic was recorded in the area. This case is part of a series of reports highlighting the difficulty investigators faced in classifying unexplained phenomena, especially when conventional explanations did not fit.
