🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a witness in Garwd, Poland observed a rectangular object with a yellow-orange color moving silently across the sky. The object appeared suddenly, drawing attention due to its brightness, and moved in a straight line from the southwest until it disappeared over the northeast horizon. The witness, a civilian working on a farm, described the object in detail, though he used no optical aids and could not identify its nature. The observation lasted between 15 and 20 seconds, and no sounds or additional activity were recorded. Despite the clear description, authorities concluded it could have been an astronomical meteor.
The classified report by the USAF includes various notes and evaluations, though no definitive conclusion was reached about the object's nature. Other possibilities such as balloons or aircraft were considered, but none matched the witness's description. The report also mentions a possible connection with another sighting near Lubliniec, though it was not confirmed. Although the case was evaluated as "insufficient for a definitive assessment," the witness's testimony and detailed description make it an intriguing entry in the UFO archives.
