🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a ground observer spotted an egg-shaped, bright orange object for 10 minutes near Astoria, Missouri. The description of the object and the lack of weather data led investigators to consider the possibility of a balloon, although no definitive conclusions could be reached. The official report notes that no photographs were taken and that the data was insufficient for an accurate evaluation. This case, like many others from that era, highlights the uncertainty and the need for more information to rule out conventional explanations.
