🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a witness in Woodstock, Georgia, observed a luminous object resembling a star. The bright yellow object dimmed, brightened again, and then disappeared. It remained visible for an hour but showed little movement, creating confusion about its nature. Initial reports suggested it could be astronomical, but contradictions in the witness's statements led to classifying the case as inconsistent. The atmosphere at the time, with frequent UFO sightings in the news, added a context of expectation and mystery.
Dobbins Air Base recorded the incident, and although the possibility of a jet aircraft with normal flashing lights was considered, no conclusive evidence was found. Broken clouds and the lack of photographs made evaluation difficult. The case remains an enigma, reminding us that even in the 1950s, UFOs generated as much interest as uncertainty.
