🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round object, the size of a pea, was observed in the sky above Newburgh, New York, in November 1957. The witness, a housewife, described it with an orange upper part and a yellow lower part, noting that the side facing her was glowing. The object remained stationary for 20 minutes, causing some confusion about its nature. Although a T-33 jet was considered as a possible explanation, calculations suggested it was unlikely for a jet to take that long to cover the apparent distance.
The lack of precise data and the difficulty in estimating time and distance led to the conclusion that there was insufficient information to evaluate the phenomenon. The observation was recorded as insufficient for a definitive assessment, and no further action was taken. This case reflects the complexity of interpreting visual testimonies without photographic or radar evidence, common in UFO files from that era.
