UFO sightings in Chattanooga 1957-1963

Summary

Three unexplained aerial sightings were recorded in Chattanooga, Tennessee, between 1957 and 1963. In November 1957, a witness reported a bright beige object, 24 inches in diameter, moving northwest for 6 to 8 seconds. Investigators concluded it was likely a meteor. A year later, in 1963, a similar but larger object (30 inches) was seen for four minutes, leading to the possibility of an aircraft. In November 1957, a third sighting showed a yellowish object the size of a nail head, observed for one minute while moving from south to north. In this case, an aircraft was also considered. Despite detailed descriptions, none of these sightings were confirmed as conventional phenomena or UFOs.
