🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, a civilian in Yonkers, New York, reported seeing a round object the size of a baseball. The object appeared at an estimated altitude of 2500 to 3000 meters, with a visible vapor trail. Initially stationary, it then moved north and finally south. The witness described it as white with a clear trajectory, though its speed and altitude seemed exaggerated.
The official evaluation concluded the report was unreliable, possibly confused with an astronomical phenomenon or aurora. There were no photographs or additional data to support the sighting. Despite this, the case was filed as part of the Project 10073 records, an effort to document unidentified flying object reports.
