🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1957, an observer in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, saw a slow-moving white light oscillating in the sky. The phenomenon lasted ten minutes and no photos were taken. Although it might initially seem like an unidentified object, astronomical records confirmed that a northern lights display was occurring in the area at that time. This led investigators to conclude that the sighting was indeed the aurora borealis, not a UFO. Natural atmospheric lights can appear mysterious, but in this case science provided a clear explanation.
