🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1957, Atlanta witnessed several sightings of unidentified flying objects. One report described a round object with a bluish halo and ruby red glow, observed for 10 minutes. Investigators concluded it was the star Vega, located at the position indicated by the witness. Another sighting reported three round objects pulsing red, aligned and stationary. It was suggested they could be a balloon with lights. Finally, an oblong brilliant white object, silent, was identified as the planet Venus. These cases show how civilian and military observers tried to understand the inexplicable.
