Three red round objects were seen in Marietta, Georgia, in December 1957. A civilian reported three luminous points that remained motionless in the sky for two or three minutes. The objects were aligned and described as two or three times larger than a star. Although no photos were taken, the report concluded it was likely a weather balloon. The official explanation suggested the perception of three objects might be an optical illusion caused by the balloon's movement. Wind direction indicated no change in apparent position, supporting the balloon theory.
