🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1957, a witness in Comfort, Texas, observed twelve round objects that appeared like stars for ten minutes. The objects stood still and were the size of a pinhead. The observer initially thought they were stars, but their unusual behavior raised questions. The Air Force concluded they were likely parachutes at a great distance, explaining their apparent stillness.
The CAA (Civil Aeronautics Authority) agreed with this assessment, suggesting the objects were weather instruments from balloons. Later, a helicopter recovered equipment from a balloon near Kerrville, placing both sightings in the same area. There were no radar readings or photos, and the official report did not consider it an unexplained phenomenon.
