🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1957, a witness in Miles City, Montana, observed an object resembling a bright star, the size of a dime. The object was moving at an estimated speed of 1000 miles per hour, without changing altitude, and disappeared as it decreased in size while shifting side to side. Although initially considered as a balloon or astronomical phenomenon, investigators concluded it was likely a high-speed aircraft operating at high altitude.
The sighting was recorded as a ground visual observation with no photographs. The witness, an experienced ex-naval aviator, described the object in detail, adding credibility to the report. Despite the limited data, the evaluation pointed to a conventional explanation, though the possibility of an unidentified phenomenon was not entirely ruled out.
