🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1957, a witness in Great Neck, Long Island, observed a yellow, basketball-sized object with tentacles. It emitted smoke and a humming sound, remained stationary before crossing the sky and then ascending vertically. The sighting lasted five minutes, but the report lacks precise data like azimuth or bearings.
Snow and poor visibility complicated identification. Investigators concluded there was insufficient data to determine if it was a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon. Although the witness claimed the object was 1.5 miles away, the lack of precise information prevented a conclusive evaluation.
