🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in South Pass, Louisiana, reported in December 1957 a bright white round object moving slowly but faster than a star or planet. The object emitted no sound or exhaust and disappeared abruptly from the sky. Despite being observed for half an hour, its nature could not be determined due to the lack of data such as wind direction. A weather balloon with lights was considered a possibility, but no confirmation was made.
The lack of detailed information limited the researchers' ability to evaluate the report accurately. Although the witness was considered reliable and weather conditions were favorable, there was no way to identify or intercept the object. This case was filed as "insufficient information," a common category for UFO reports where essential data is missing for a more conclusive evaluation.
