In December 1957, a woman in El Paso, Texas, observed an object resembling a star. She described it as baseball-sized, white with a red tail, spinning and emitting a bright glow. Although the sighting lasted three minutes, no elevation or azimuth data was recorded, complicating any analysis. Investigators concluded there was insufficient information to evaluate the phenomenon. Some suggested it could have been Venus, but the object's unique description and behavior raised doubts.
The lack of precise data and the visual nature of the observation led to the case being classified as insufficient for a definitive evaluation. Despite this, the witness's testimony and the detailed description of the object keep some mystery about what she actually saw.
