🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1958, a couple in Columbus, Georgia, reported seeing two bright orange cigar-shaped objects with a reddish tint. The objects appeared one behind the other and disappeared briefly before reappearing. The description and circumstances of the sighting led investigators to consider that they might have been non-persistent contrails from two jet aircraft. The low position of the sun on the horizon could have caused the observed coloration.
