🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1958, a witness near Colorado Springs reported a round object the size of a pea with a short trail of fire. The observation was made visually from the ground and no photos were taken. Although a meteor was considered a possible explanation, the lack of precise data, such as the duration of the event, meant the case could not be fully evaluated. Investigators concluded there was insufficient information to determine the nature of the object.
The official report, part of Project 10073, omitted key details that would have helped identify the phenomenon with greater certainty. The object was described as possibly astronomical, but without more information, it was filed as a case with insufficient data. This kind of report reflects the difficulty investigators faced at the time in classifying events without complete records or additional evidence.
