🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1958, a witness in Glenwood, Newfoundland, reported an object leaving a red streak in the sky. The sighting occurred around midnight, with the object moving eastward. Although a clearing with fallen trees and disturbed snow was mentioned, investigators failed to locate it. Authorities considered the possibility of a meteor or astronomical event, but insufficient data prevented a definitive evaluation.
The official report noted that the main witness, a former military member, had a reputation for exaggeration. During a ground search, the described location could not be found. Additionally, it was suggested that the red streak might have been caused by a snowplow in the area. Despite multiple calls and interviews, no clear resolution emerged, and the case was deemed insufficient for a conclusive assessment.
