🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1958, an officer at Travis AFB's control tower in California observed an elongated light with a white flame trail. The witness described the object as 1.5 times larger than a large star, silent, and burning out as it disappeared. The sighting lasted between 5 and 10 seconds. Although initially considered a meteor, other explanations were not ruled out. Several officers confirmed the description, including details on direction and estimated altitude.
