🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1958, a 15-year-old student and five companions spotted a white metallic object in the sky above Wantagh, Long Island. The object, the size of a pea, appeared suddenly at dusk and remained stationary for 8 to 10 minutes. The most intriguing detail was that it split into two parts before vanishing. Although a balloon was considered, there was not enough data to confirm it. A Constellation aircraft attempted to approach, but the object disappeared without a trace. The lack of photos or recordings and the distance made any conclusive analysis impossible.
