🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A U.S. military radar at Walnut Ridge AFS in Arkansas picked up an unidentified object on March 31, 1958. The FPS-6 radar system recorded a signal at an estimated altitude of 64,000 feet and a speed of 1300 knots. The official report concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the nature of the object. Despite the USAF's claim that UFOs did not exist, witnesses in Salem, Oregon, reported seeing a bright blue streak with a red tail moving at high speed. Other accounts from Eureka, California, and Portugal described oval-shaped objects with erratic movements, including sudden reversals and disappearances into clouds. These reports, though not officially classified as cases, add intrigue to one of the most mysterious UFO events in history.
