🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1958, two civilian observers in Mesa, Arizona, reported a cigar-shaped object with orange lights. The object was seen for 10 seconds, described as an elongated shape moving rapidly from north to south, then climbing steeply southwest. Although witnesses were convinced it was too fast for a plane, authorities considered the possibility of a classified military aircraft. No photos or sounds were recorded, complicating the evaluation.
The observers, telephone company employees, didn't use optical aids and described the object as having rectangular windows emitting light. Despite the official report not ruling out a conventional aircraft, witnesses insisted it was something unknown. The report concluded there was no physical evidence and the most plausible explanation remained an aircraft, though with limited certainty.
