🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1958, a witness in Long Beach observed two bright star-shaped objects, the size of a half-gallon jar and bright red in color. The two objects were side by side, one remained the same size while the other varied. The witness described sounds that ranged from loud groaning to faint. The phenomenon lasted for one hour, which is unusual for an unidentified flying object sighting. The report lacks elevation or azimuth data, making detailed analysis difficult.
The report was submitted by a civilian who, upon waking, saw a bright light in the sky. Despite the prolonged duration of the sighting, the lack of precise information prevents determining whether it was a balloon, an astronomical phenomenon, or something else. The Long Beach Air Force Base received the report around 22:00, but no clear conclusion was reached. This case remains one of the unresolved UFO mysteries in history.
