🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1958, a UFO sighting occurred in Seattle, Washington, when a witness reported two egg-shaped or saucer-like objects. These objects, described as golden or orange-yellow, appeared separated and then merged. The observer noted what seemed like windows or dividers and a buzzing sound, similar to a hot poker in water. The sighting lasted 5–6 seconds, and while no photos were taken, the witness was a 32-year-old Safeway clerk and former Marine, lending credibility to the account.
The official evaluation concluded it was an astronomical meteor, but the report didn’t rule out other possibilities. The object reached an estimated altitude of 42,000 feet and moved at a speed of 1500–1800 mph. Despite no other reports in the area, the case remains intriguing due to the detailed description and the location near multiple airports.
