🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1958, a man from Canton, Ohio reported seeing a red glowing object moving erratically in the sky. The object was observed for 5 to 8 minutes and described as a small light without a discernible shape. The witness immediately contacted local authorities, including the airport and the air defense center, who failed to confirm the object's presence. However, it was suggested that it could be a weather balloon launched from Warren, Ohio, whose winds matched the direction of the sighting.
The report includes additional testimonies from the witness's family members, who also saw the object. Despite investigations, no photos or radar records were obtained. The official conclusion pointed to the object being likely a balloon, although the witness insisted it was unlike anything he had seen before. His detailed description and weather conditions were carefully documented, adding credibility to his account.
