Summary

In May 1958, a woman in Drummond, Wisconsin, observed an object that appeared to be a very bright star. She watched it for over an hour without noticing any movement. Although she initially found it unusual and even took photographs, she later concluded it was just a normal star. Military reports agreed that there was no reason to believe it was anything other than a star, especially since three very bright stars were visible in the sky at that time and location.

The photographs taken failed to clearly show the object, and technical analyses revealed flaws such as streaks, pinholes, and poor clarity. Despite this, the report was processed by several air units and archived as part of the long history of attempts to understand celestial phenomena. The sighting, though inconclusive, is part of the extensive record of unidentified flying objects.
