In June 1958, a truck driver in Tokmak, Kirgiz SSR, observed a mysterious object moving silently across the sky. The object, described as oval or cigar-shaped, measured between 20 and 30 cm in diameter and emitted a glow that changed from blue-white to red-yellow. The witness, accompanied by his landlord, saw the object for one minute before it disappeared to the east. Despite the clear night and absence of noise, no definitive identification was possible.

The official investigation concluded there was insufficient information to determine the object's nature. Local witnesses mentioned it could be a military test in the area, but no confirmation was given.
