🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1958, witnesses in Eunice, New Mexico, and Pecos, Texas, reported multiple sightings of unidentified flying objects. The testimonies described orange-colored objects with trails, a round object the size of a baseball, and a "ball of fire" with a flaming tail. Although the witnesses did not precisely match the time and location, military investigators concluded the sightings were related to a meteor shower. The lack of photographs and imprecise witness data made a more precise evaluation difficult. However, meteorological analyses and the event's location supported the theory that these were astronomical phenomena. The case was declassified decades later after its classification was canceled.
