🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1958, a military officer at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, observed a circular object the size of a full moon, light silver in color with a thin greenish haze around its lower section. The object was initially motionless before starting a slight oscillating movement that accelerated until it disappeared. The sighting lasted 10 minutes and occurred at a 35-degree elevation. Reports suggest it could have been an optical phenomenon, such as a lunar refraction, but no clear identification was made. Winds were coming from the west, ruling out a wind-blown object. Despite investigations, no definitive explanation was found.
