UFO and Saratov Aircraft

In January 1993, a Russian television report mentioned a new disc-like aircraft being developed in Saratov. Presenter Oleg Shommer showed footage resembling a UFO, but clarified that it was not an alien encounter. Instead, it was a prototype aircraft with innovative technology. This plane, called EKIP, combined wing and fuselage and used an air cushion to eliminate the need for airports. According to the report, it could land on snow or water and carry heavy cargo, far surpassing commercial aircraft of the time. Though the tone of the report was light-hearted, the description of the aircraft sparked curiosity and speculation about its true purpose.
