🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1958, a witness in Philadelphia observed an object moving across the sky from west to east. The object, described as a yellowish point of light the size of a pinhead, was visible for about 6 to 8 seconds. As it disappeared, it emitted flashing lights, which caught the observer's attention. Although initially unusual, the report concluded it was a typical meteor. The object's description and straight trajectory matched meteor characteristics, especially considering Earth was entering a meteor shower zone at that time.
The official report evaluated that there were no signs of supernatural, extraterrestrial, or hostile activity. The observer, a civilian employed by Arco Corporation, did not use optical aids and described the phenomenon clearly. Despite the brief sighting, the data aligned with what is expected from a meteor, leading to the case being classified as resolved without further investigation needed.
