🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1958, a witness in Dayton, Ohio, observed an object resembling a shooting star with changing brightness. The report classifies the phenomenon as an aircraft, though other data suggest it could have been an astronomical event or even a balloon. The testimony, provided by a 14-year-old, mentions the object made no sound and moved westward. Despite the brief observation (80 seconds), the witness accurately described details like variable brightness and the absence of noise. The confusion increases with the mention of two aircraft in the area at that time, leading to the possibility that it was an observation of these. However, the description doesn't fully match a conventional aircraft, leaving open the possibility of other phenomena.
