🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An unusual object was observed in a lake near Glonnle, Michigan, in 1958. The report details how the object entered the water with a loud noise, creating a foam circle 10 feet in diameter and 2-3 feet high. The object sizzled for one and a half minutes, as if it were hot, and zigzagged across the lake for 200 feet before sinking into 50 feet of water. Three independent witnesses reported the incident, increasing the credibility of the testimony. Although the object could not be recovered due to the lake's depth, authorities considered the possibility of a weather balloon or a hot meteorite, but did not rule out the UFO hypothesis.
The official report classified it as "not a UFO" due to the lack of aerial observation, but the data suggests an unusual phenomenon. It was noted that the event occurred near restricted areas used for air training, raising suspicions that it could have been a lost artifact. However, there were no records of lost ordnance on the date of the sighting, maintaining the mystery around the incident.
