🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1958, a witness in central New Jersey reported seeing a silver object shaped like a twisted piece of foil. The object was observed moving at speeds between 100 and 1500 mph, staying low to the ground and following the terrain's curvature. Despite the detailed description, the report was submitted over two years later, making a proper investigation impractical. The lack of relevant information from the witness and the delayed report led to the case being labeled as an unreliable report.
The official file notes that the object was not photographed and that the witness provided insufficient data for evaluation. Although high air traffic in the area, including commercial and military aircraft, was noted, no clear explanation for the object was found. The case was ultimately categorized under "other" due to the lack of conclusive evidence.
