In August 1958, a couple in Troy Hill, New Jersey, observed two unidentified flying objects during a drive-in movie. The objects appeared bright and elliptical, appearing from the northwest and disappearing toward the southwest. The couple initially thought it might be a satellite, but minutes later they saw an identical object, increasing their curiosity.
