🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1958, a witness in Warwick Parrish, Bermuda, reported a bright object crossing the sky from north to south. The sighting lasted between 30 and 45 seconds, and the object disappeared over the southern horizon at an extreme altitude and speed. Although no photos were taken, the report notes that the object had no tail or flicker, and its brightness was greater than an average star but less than a nearby planet. The U.S. Air Force concluded there was insufficient data for a definitive evaluation, ruling out satellites, aircraft, and common astronomical phenomena.
The original report offers no clear explanation, but suggests it could have been a high-altitude meteor, although its duration was unusually long. A reflection is also considered, but the object's path was steady and unchanging. Despite the witness's sincerity, there were no other sightings or additional records to help identify the phenomenon. This case remains one of many in UFO history that remain unsolved.
