🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A round, white object was observed in Burbank, California, through binoculars for 30 minutes. The witness described it as similar to a star, with a size roughly that of a pea. Behind the object was a silver area that varied in color from greenish to white. The sighting occurred on August 14, 1958, and the object was seen for five consecutive days. It moved unpredictably, first heading southeast, then south, and finally north, disappearing by fading out of sight. Although the initial report suggested the possibility of a balloon, inconsistencies in the witness's statements and the lack of other sightings in the area raised doubts. Investigators concluded it might have been a weather balloon, as they were regularly released from the location at that time.
