🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1958, a civilian observer near Minot, North Dakota, spotted a bright white object flying at high altitude. The object, the size of a silver dollar, emitted a steady glow and showed an orange hue during turns. A reliable witness, a physician, observed the object for 10 minutes, describing smooth flight toward the southeast. Although balloon or astronomical explanations were considered, the data suggested it was an aircraft.
Military authorities noted a possible connection to SAC bombers refueling in the area at the time. However, the object's appearance and flight characteristics didn't fully match a conventional aircraft, leaving room for an unexplained phenomenon.
