🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1958, a commercial artist from Southwick, Massachusetts, spotted a glowing object while driving on a highway. The object, basketball-sized with a 500-foot tail, emitted white sparks in a circular pattern. The witness, initially thinking it was a distressed aircraft, called Westover Air Base but was redirected to a local newspaper. The object vanished after exploding into a shower of sparks. The report includes a color slide and a sketch by the witness.
