🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1958, an observer at Moody AFB, Georgia, reported a round object the size of a pinhead with a white light at the bottom that shifted to blue and then green. The object was observed for 40 to 50 minutes without apparent movement. Although initially thought to be a star—specifically Sirius—the color change raised doubts. Reports indicate no photos were taken and the observation was made visually from the ground.
The official evaluation did not reach a clear conclusion, as options like balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon were considered, but there was insufficient data to determine its nature with certainty. The report includes weather conditions and additional observations, but it leaves the mystery unresolved. The case remains one of the many unexplained reports from that era.
