🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1958, a witness in New York reported a blood-red object the size of a pinhead over the Hudson River. The object remained visible for five minutes at about 150 feet above ground, in an overcast sky with good visibility. The witness, interested in UFOs, asked why the government didn't reveal more about such phenomena. The official investigation concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the object's nature, and no further investigation was conducted.
The confidential report was handled by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Although the sighting was recorded, no photos or radar were used. The witness provided no additional details, and the official conclusion was that the data was insufficient. This case reflects the ambiguity and lack of answers surrounding many UFO reports in the 1950s.
