🇺🇸 CIA
In 1954, the CIA drafted a document outlining the management of information related to unidentified flying objects. This text states that certain previous files were rescinded and that from then on, a specific division (ASD) would take charge of monitoring this type of report. Other divisions were required to provide technical support to ASD as needed.
The document also specifies that ASD would maintain the files on this subject, and that all other divisions had to forward their records to ASD, after which they would discontinue their own filing activities on the matter. Although the language is formal and technical, the text reflects how the CIA internally organized information on unconventional aerial phenomena.
